Inspiration

Studio inspiration for the forthcoming seasons of SS21 and AW21 have been evolving from accumulative input of catwalks, industry trends and insight from seminars and show forums, in addition to my own creative pursuit through exhibitions, magazines, books, sketching, colour and fabric research and development.

I recently saw the Bridget Riley Retrospective it was a visual treat. I was blown away by the scale, use of colour and the technical calculations and processes behind it, to create the geometry and colour-play.

As a visitor, I went to Decorex international, this was a fantastic show of talented designers and design studios presenting interior products and textiles for private and commercial sale. I watched a fun and informative trend colour and materials forecast by  Colourhive for SS21

Since then I’ve created design trends and inspiration for Jayne Goulding Design, which inform the development and next collection of embroidery designs. Here’s a taster of one of the boards above.
